In production at Shelter Bookworks now -- Todd Webb: New York 1946, published by 21st Editions. This is one of my favorite bindings that I have designed. It includes a new technique for me of printing on leather and it successfully echoes the mid-century, modern photographs of Todd Webb.
Deluxe Edition of 'Some Lines'
This is one of the five deluxe copies of my artist's book, 'Some Lines'. It is contained in a box constructed with covers of quarter sawn oak boards and alum tawed goatskin onlays. The deluxe book has an alum tawed goatskin spine, and comes with three loose prints from the book. Please inquire to purchase.
Custom box for Edition Muta
We designed and constructed this box for a special edition of an LP released by Edition Muta. The box contains an original sound recording on cassette, a hand-written letter from the artist and an LP. Beautiful project to work on with complex parts. Box cover paper is printed on a letterpress from polymer plates.
See 'Extinction' at Codex Intl. Book Fair
As always, it is a pleasure to work on projects for Abigail Rorer of The Lone Oak Press. Her engravings are exquisite and you can see them on display in this latest offering, Extinction. One hundred copies will be bound here at Shelter Bookworks. Amy Borezo designed the binding with input from Abigail. This is a sewn boards binding with an airbrushed vellum spine and Spanish Arpa handmade paper on the covers. See the edition and many others from The Lone Oak Press and so many other fantastic artists and publishers at Codex International Book Fair from Feb. 8-11, 2015 in Richmond, CA.
